We are delighted to announce Seungjo Jeong (BNC 2016) as the second recipient of New Contemporaries' Studio Bursary with One Thoresby Street, Nottingham. From the 31st October 2017, Seungjo has access to a free studio, membership of One Thoresby Street and a support structure offered by their community of artists.
Seungjo Jeong (b. 1977, Seoul, Korea; based in London, UK) gained his BFA at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (2015) and his MA Painting at the Royal College of Art (2017). He had his first solo exhibition at the Hockney Gallery, London, UK (2016). Sophie Giller (BNC 2015) as the first recipient of New Contemporaries’ Studio Bursary with One Thoresby Street, Nottingham. Sophie completed her BA Fine Art Painting at Camberwell College of Arts, London in 2014. Since exhibiting in Bloomberg New Contemporaries 2015, she has shown at The Assembly House, Leeds with BNC alumna Lydia Brockless, Safehouse 1, Peckham, London and The Raveningham Centre, Norfolk.
