Raul Ortega is a member of the first generation of graduates of Mexico City's new National Centre for the Arts. He has been awarded grants from the Rockefeller & McArthur Foundation, La Vaca Independiente, FONCA (National Fund for Culture and Arts) and INBA (National Institute for Fine Arts). Ortega has exhibited in Mexico, Argentina, Chicago, Spain and most recently in Glasgow. He is currently studying at Glasgow School of Art and will participate in an exchange programme with Hunter college in New York.
