Grounded in a material aesthetic and ethic, Alexandre da Cunha makes sculptures and wall-mounted work using transformed everyday or found objects. Recent exhibitions include solo presentations at Pivo in São Paulo, Brazil, and the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago. Major outdoor sculptures by da Cunha are on permanent view at the Laumeier Sculpture Park in St. Louis, Missouri; outside the Monsoon Building in London and the at The Fenway in Boston. He is currently working on a major permanent commission for Transport for London to be revealed in 2021.
