Anna Howard works across image, sculpture and installation. Her practice intertwines personal narratives with broader cultural observations, interrogating ideas around class, commerce, labour, value and taste. She often combines the languages of craft with everyday objects to speak to the facades and contradictions of contemporary visual culture. In her most recent works, she reframes ubiquitous DIY materials to question the origins of aesthetic codes and their implications for inner-city social mobility.
