Tom Fairlamb creates durational, moving sculptures that blur into performance, sound, and drawing. His playful curiosity approaches serious questions about the world, with humorous yet tragic outcomes. By observing natural cycles and processes, he simulates interactions between nature and technology, showing invisible systems and connections while questioning the boundaries between human and non-human worlds. Fairlamb has received multiple awards including: The RSA Stuart Prize (2024); The Alastair Smart Memorial Prize (2023); The RSA New Contemporaries (2023); VAS Graduate Showcase Award (2023); New Blood Art Emerging Artist Art Prize (2023); The LSA Prize for Outstanding Work in Fine Art (2020).
