Sophie Mackfall Receives Studio Bursary 

We are delighted to announce that Sophie Mackfall (BNC 2016) is the third recipient of the New Contemporaries’ Studio Bursary with One Thoresby Street (OTS), Nottingham.

From November 2018 Sophie will have access to a free studio, membership to One Thoresby Street and a support structure offered by their community of artists.

Sophie (b.1984, York, UK) completed her BA Painting and Printmaking at Glasgow School of Art and MA Painting at the Royal College of Art, London. Exhibitions include ‘WHAT YOU DO, I LIKE’, Hospitalfield; ‘We Eat and Drink and Sit by Fires’, NEW STUDIO; and ‘The London Open’, Whitechapel Gallery. From 2009 - 2011 she was a Committee Member of Transmission Gallery, Glasgow.
