Jack Sutherland Receives Studio Bursary with Elephant
21 January 2020
We are delighted to announce Jack Sutherland (BNC19) as the recipient of a month-long studio bursary in partnership with Elephant from February 2020 to March 2020.
"I'm really excited to accept the offer of New Contemporaries Elephant Lab Studio Residency; the post-degree world in the first year and beyond is a daunting place to find your footing in, and residency opportunities such as this are fantastic foundational platforms. What sets this apart is the materials allowance you're given; to be essentially free from the shackles of material budget restrictions will be a truly liberating experience. I have some blob-like thoughts about mouth memories and widescreen paintings so I'm looking forward to squeezing them into more corporeal forms." Jack Sutherland
