We are inviting applications for a fully funded Collaborative Doctoral Award in collaboration with Teesside University to research early career artist development programmes and their role in widening participation.
This comes at a timely moment as we expand and rethink our model and programme. The upcoming New Contemporaries exhibition at MIMA in 2026 provides a dynamic context for this research. The project will generate new insights into early-career support, providing sector-wide applications for inclusive practice in contemporary visual arts.
For more information about the research proposal, financial support and how to apply, please visit the Teesside University website here: https://www.tees.ac.uk/sections/research/funding_details.cfm?fundingID=282
Deadline for application: 28 November 2025.
